The Manager will be responsible for the ongoing operational performance of the business within agreed P&L that maximises performance and efficiencies. Ensuring the efficient and economic use is made of all resources, including stock, team members and company assets.  They will be responsible for ensuring that the plans and priorities are implemented through the empowerment of the team and effective performance management techniques, ensuring that at all times the Customer is at the heart of our Business.  Maintaining the values and ethos of the business.

Duties and Responsibilities as Manager include:

Responsibilities:-

  • Day to day operational running of the business.

  • Identifying and creating business growth opportunities.

·       Responsible for marketing and for content creation and engagement on platforms.

  • Ensuring ongoing social media presence and updating various social media platforms.

  • Ensuring SOPs are in place and rolled out and carried out consistently.

  • Meet and exceeds company Food GP budget.

  • Manage staff rosters in line with budget and labour costs.

  • Liaising and dealing with suppliers, placing orders, and ensuring relevant paperwork is up to date.

  • Orders of food stock appropriate to sales levels and not over ordered.

  • Team management, training, and mentoring.

  • Deliver company efficiencies and standard

  • Lead the selection and training of new team members

  • Ensure compliance in terms of Health and Safety, Food Safety, Hygiene, Employment regulation, Fire Safety and COVID 19 guidance

  • Manage the business financial performance (with support of the Director and finance team), and annual budget

  • Actively manage customer interaction and be the welcoming face of the restaurant

Essential Requirements of the  Manager job:

·       The ideal candidate will have 2+ year's management experience in a fast-paced restaurant or café establishment.

  • Passionate and able to implement medium term plans

  • Committed to continuous improvement & innovation

  • Track record of growing and retaining the business and delivering results

  • Barista skills, with a knowledge and understanding of coffee.

  • Flexible to work up to 5 days over 7

  • Social media experience

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent knowledge of HACCP

  • Exceptional organisational skills

  • Experience of leading, managing and developing winning teams

  • Experience in managing budgets

  • Confident IT skills and experience with EPOS systems

  • Great communication skills & commercial focus

  • Commitment to creating a vibrant, welcoming, inclusive workplace

  • An interest in sustainable food practices and great tasting food

Advantageous:

  • Recruitment and training experience

  • Managing a mixed-function operation (e.g., dining with retail)

  • Good knowledge of food production methods and procedures

  • Self-motivated and ability to adapt to and lead change environment

  • Qualification in Hospitality Supervision & Leadership / related area or equivalent
